FAQs
What is San Diego Restaurant Week?
Now in its fifth year as San Diego County's largest and most successful dining event, San Diego Restaurant Week was launched with the intention of spotlighting the city as a premiere fine dining destination. This year is the first time San Diego Restaurant Week is taking place in September and it is expected to be one of the most successful events yet at a time when business typically slows down for local restaurants after the summer tourism season.

The first 2009 event in January proved to be the most successful Restaurant Week ever, with more than 180 participating restaurants, a 22 percent increase over the 2008 event. With more than 100,000 participating diners, restaurants reported 80 percent to 90 percent increase in sales compared to their normal weekly revenue.

Organized by the California Restaurant Association in partnership with the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau, Restaurant Week gives local food aficionados and visitors an opportunity to enjoy special three-course, prix fixe menus from more than 180 participating restaurants throughout San Diego County for either $20, $30 or $40 per person.

A spectacular exhibition of San Diego's finest culinary talents, Restaurant Week 2010 will once again illustrate why the city's dining scene is rapidly becoming one of the nation's hottest and most talked about. Restaurant Week will feature a vast array of options from established favorites as well as many new restaurants.
